Spice, the first all-inclusive lifestyle resort this side of the pond, opened in June 2010 to rave reviews and is building up a firm following of clientele. With a pleasing standard of accommodation, good quality dining and a really super friendly, relaxed atmosphere, this new resort is very quickly gaining an enviable reputation. Year-round Canarian sunshine and a vast array of flight possibilities really make this a very attractive holiday proposition at any time of year.

Location

The Canarian island of Lanzarote is situated just 130 km from the African coast and enjoys a hot, dry climate all year round. It’s a short (10-15 minute) drive from the airport to Puerto del Carmen where Spice is discreetly located in a quiet area, just a 5 minute walk from the waterfront and centre of town.

The Beach

The sandy textile blue flag beach at Puerto del Carmen is just a 5-10 minute stroll from the resort of Spice and has direct access to the resort’s waterfront cafes, bars, shops and restaurants. It’s a drive to reach any of the naturist beaches on the island and Playa Guasimeta situated right next to the airport runway is the closest. In the south, Playas Papagayo are in the natural park near Playa Blanca and further north, the fully naturist village of Charco del Palo near Mala has a rock pool for nude swimming and naked walks along the clifftop rather than an actual beach.

Naturism at Spice

Clothing is optional in all areas, at all times at Spice except for the restaurant and reception area where guests are asked to cover up. In reality, guests tend to be naked in and around the pools but enjoy dressing up in the evenings.

Food & Drink

Spice is an all-inclusive resort and meals, snacks and drinks are available all day and all night. The Allspice restaurant prides itself on superior service and supreme cuisine, the use of high quality, fresh local produce and meals tend to be cooked fresh to order, supported by a varied buffet selection. In addition, outside meal times, hot and cold snacks are available on request 24 hours a day. To start the day the grand breakfast includes freshly baked breads, pastries and preserves as well as an excellent range of cooked morning goods, cereals, fruit, yoghurts, cold meats, cheese etc. Lunch offers you a different daily selection of traditional Spanish tapas whilst themed dinner evenings, poolside barbeques and party nights all add spice to your holiday. Both the poolside and hot tub swim-up bars serve an impressive range of top brand alcohol, saucily named cocktails, wines, beer and soft drinks. Refrigerators in the suites are stocked and regularly replenished with bottled water and soft drinks.

Facilities at Spice

Completely sheltered by the surrounding apartments and terraces, the pool on the lower level is large, used for general cooling off and is served by the poolside bar. On the upper level a large hot tub tends to lend itself to adult fun. This pool enjoys its own waterside bar serving drinks and cocktails from mid afternoon until the early hours. There are plenty of sunbeds and fat boy cushions on the terraces and, in a quiet corner of the garden, by a tinkling fountain, a few hammocks swing between the trees. Pool towels are provided. Bodylicious, is Spice’s onsite massage and beauty parlour offering a full (payable) range of treatments and therapeutic salon massages. At the back of the disco there’s a comfortable chill out zone and playroom. Spice has its own adult toy and clothing kiosk.

Activities

The resident animator at Spice will organize some fun and games such as pool volleyball during the day and cheeky activities organized by the entertainment team provide amusement for both participants or just onlookers.

Spice Entertainment

Themed nights are core to the entertainment schedule at Spice – there’s a vast opportunity for dressing up – maybe as a geisha girl for the Oriental Night or a fireman for when the theme is Emergency Services. Check out the themes before you leave home and take your dressing up gear with you and be the belles of the ball. The disco has a great sound and light system and the dance pole is there for everyone to strut their stuff. Both resident and guest DJ’s play a wide variety of dance and chill music from Europe and beyond.
